Avatiu, Rarotonga, Cook Islands / Polynesia
Avatiu is located on the north coast of Rarotonga, the largest of all 15 Cook Islands in the South Pacific. Here lies the main port of the entire island.
Not far from the harbor you will come across the famous Punanga Nui market. In addition to fruits and vegetables fresh fish, clothes and handicrafts are offered here, depending on the day of the week. Taste once of the deliciously fresh produce and browse for the one or other souvenir. Then pay a visit to the island capital Avarua and stroll there on a round through the fantastic tropical garden surrounding the Queen's Palace. South Sea dreams come true on the beautiful sands of Rarotonga! The most beautiful of all islands can be found between the Muri Beach and the small village of Titikaveka in the south.
