Invergordon lies in the east of Scotland at Cromarty Firht. The small industrial city is mainly known for the construction of oil refineries.Travelers cannot escape this impression when they arrive in Invergordon. Recently, however, some efforts have been made to make the town even more interesting for tourists. But even so the place was and is popular especially for its scenic beauty.
In the city the Naval Museum was established in the meantine, which informs about the interesting history of the area. From here you can continue to take a signposted tour of the town that also goes along to the Natal Garden and the Heritage Mural.
Otherwise, you are suggested a walk in the surrounding area because nature is really beautiful and wildly romantic whether through the mud or the dry foot along the fjord. There are several recommended walks, lasting between three and five hours. Most of them also lead past the one or the other whiskey distillery where you should not reject to enjoy this local specialty.
