Koblenz / Germany
Koblenz is after Mainz and Ludwigshafen am Rhein, the third largest city in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is one of the oldest cities in Germany. The name Koblenz derives from the Latin Confluentes (confluence), which refers to the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle at the so-called Deutsches Corner. Koblenz has about 110,000 inhabitants and is a university town.
The town itself is an attraction with many historical buildings and monuments to which must be added the German Corner and the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.
