Kyun-daw / Myanmar
In the middle of Asia is the former British colony Burma, officially called Myanmar since 1989. Myanmar is a world center of Buddhism. Countless temples and pagodas bear witness of the 2,500 year-old culture. The Irrawaddy (total length 2,100 km) is the lifeline of Myanmar.
Kyun-daw is a small island in the Irrawaddy River which impresses with a number of monasteries and small pagodas.
