Peine / Germany
The city of Peine is located on the Midland Canal in Lower Saxony. It has an inland port, which is located in the south of the city. Via the large Ilseder Straße you reach the city center after approx. 15 min. where there are some small sights around the market square.
So here is the old town hall. To the west of the hotel is the beautiful castle park, which has just been redesigned and invites for a walk. Near the church of the holy angels from the 19th century, the church of Saint Jacobi, whose origins go back to the 13th century and the magnificent old framework quarter Damm / Kniepenburg with the Pelikan House, the oldest building of Peine. You will also find an old mill in the middle of Peine, the potter's mill, which unfortunately is not original anymore. Then a stroll in the pedestrian zone rounds up the visit in Peine, where you can still discover still beautiful old houses left and right.
