Prague / Czech Republic
Prague, the "Golden City" as it is also called remains memorable for everyone who visits it once. The backdrop of the city on the Vltava embossed by Gothic and Baroque is adorned with numerous towers that rise from the sea of houses. Above all towers the world-famous Prague Castle perched on the Hradcany.
A must for every visitor to Prague is a visit to this largest closed castle complex in the world, which was already built in the 9th century and has undergone numerous transformations over the centuries. Officially it is still the residence of the head of state, today the Czech president. The castle complex is home to the largest dome church in the country. Stroll through the romantic narrow streets of the old town of Prague with its old houses and beautiful churches and cross the Vltava River at the Charles Bridge. This bridge, built in the 14th century, is one of the oldest surviving stone bridges in Europe and one of the city's most famous landmarks. When visiting Wenceslas Square you will also be delighted with a visit to the nearby National Museum. Let the day end with a delicious meal and a Czech beer at one of the numerous quaint restaurants.
