The city of Rendsburg is located on the Kiel Canal and has about 30,000 inhabitants. The city has a pretty old town.
The port is the main inland port of the canal. There is even a ship welcome site embassy on the canal, which flies the flag for every passing ship, as well as the longest bank in the world with more than 500 meters.
In the old town there are plenty of sights. The old town hall from the 16th century is a half-timbered building. St.Mary's Church is also worth a visit. At the Parade Square are the Printing Museum and the historical museum, as well as the Christ Church, which offers seats for over 2,000 people. Nearby you will also find the Jewish Museum, which is housed in the first German synagogue.
The city is famous for its imposing railway bridge in the south, which is 42 meters high.
