San Francisco is the legendary city on the west coast, one of the most European of the USA. With its characteristic skyline and the passage of the Golden Gate Bridge it is the epitome of world tour for many people. But it also has the reputation of a small rebel for here the hippie movement had its start.
San Francisco has a variety of attractions. The Golden Gate is certainly the most famous attraction, but also the Victorian construction style of the gold rush and the distinctive cable car are part of the cityscape. Also the twin hills (Twin Peaks), the Museum of Modern Art, the Fisherman's Wharf District, the Transamerica Pyramid and the numerous parks give the city its unique character.
