Senden an der Iller / Germany
Senden is a city with about 20,000 inhabitants, located on the river Iller in the east of Bavaria, just before its mouth into the Danube. Senden consists of seven districts.
One of the most important sights not only of the city but of the region is the chapel "Maria Hilf", which is located in the Ay district. This small church is built in the style of Rococo and is often visited by pilgrims. The right pilgrimage church, however, lies in the district of Witzighausen, namely the church of "Mary's Birth".
If you are more interested in culture, the Bürgerhaus is the right place. Regular events take place here, as well as various things from the city and the surrounding area, the largest curiosities of which are probably a 5000-year-old moor tree.
