Spanish Town is located on Virgin Gorda, the third largest of the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean Sea. It was Christopher Columbus who once baptized the island by the name of "The Fat Virgin", as its form reminds of a round woman lying on her back.
Spanish town with its bustle is the largest place on the island. Among locals also known as "The Valley", the city was once the capital of the British Virgin Islands. A number of recommended restaurants and several shops where you can buy beautiful objects of local art on your way through the streets of the sunny Caribbean city, especially in the Yacht Harbor complex.
