St. Paul, Pribilof Islands / Alaska (USA)

The Pribilof Islands lie in the Bering Sea and belong to the USA. Two of the islands are inhabited: St. George and St. Paul. On St. Paul live around 500 people who live from fishing and fish processing. The island also has a deep sea port.
St. Paul is a single bird paradise, but also home to many large mammals.

From sea bears and sea lions, to the huge bird populations (especially owls and seagulls) up to the grass-covered tundra - the nature is unique. On St. Paul, there is also the rare polar fox to be seen. Trips to the rocks, where the birds breed, or tundra walks are very popular.
In the settlement on St. Paul you can also visit a Russian church.
