Wiesbaden / Germany
The beautiful spa town of Wiesbaden is located on the right bank of the Rhine. Especially the thermal springs and the beautiful surroundings with the well-known Rheinsteige make the city a popular trip destination.
Wiesbaden has about 250,000 inhabitants and was already frequented in Roman times.
Remarkable in the town is Wilhelmstraße with its old buildings, mainly built in Art Nouveau style. Here is also the quiet spa district with park and pond, where there is plenty of recreation to refuel. Not far to the west stands the old Kochbrunnen which is one of the oldest in the city.
But also apart from the spa landscape and thermal baths, Wiesbaden is very nice. The old town with its shops and restaurants is worth a visit as well as the castle which is today the seat of the parliament.
