Cayo Largo (Greater Antilles) / Cuba
Cayo Largo is the second largest island of the Cuban archipelago Canarreos, located in the Caribbean Sea. The first European who arrived on the island is considered Columbus. Cayo Largo is not inhabited permanently in the official sense, as the people who work on the island, do not live there.
White sand beaches and crystal clear water make Cayo Largo a Caribbean dream island as if from a picture book. In the north, the island is covered on a large area with salt marshes and mangrove forests. Besides unforgettable hours on the beach, you have, among others, the possibility to discover the exotic flora and fauna of the island or to take a dive to the stunning coral reefs.
