Port Elizabeth / South Africa

Port Elizabeth is located in Algoa Bay in South Africa. The port is one of the major South African ports, mainly for export and the automotive industry, and the city has just under 1 million inhabitants. The town was built in the 19th century. And many historic buildings can be seen to this day.

The most famous surviving structure is certainly the Fort Frederick from 1799. There are also many good restaurants and plenty of shops for a shopping spree. In particular, the Market Square and the City Hall itself are fit for it - today regularly flea markets are held
Very beautiful are the beaches of the city, mainly the Humewood Beach is a popular destination.
The Donkin Reserve is located in the city on a small hill and offers beautiful views of the harbor. The reserve is a small memorial park with pyramid for the governor's wife Elzabeth Donkin, after whom the town was named.
For animal lovers, there is an Oceanarium as well as the zoo Addo Elephant Park with many species of the region.
