Stuttgart is better than its reputation. Because the city is not only surrounded by vineyards and orchards, beautifully located in a valley, but also has cultural, gastronomica and economically worthwhile attractions. Stuttgart was founded in the the 10th century as „Stutengarten“ and developed " supported by counts and dukes to a modern city with more than 500,000 inhabitants.
Attractions are many in Stuttgart - but to visit these gradually there is barely enough time to capture the city. For Stuttgart also means vibrant culture, theater, opera, museums, music, street theater. From the remarkable castle proceeding along the Königstraße you can explore the city. Heading for the main train station you reach to your right the state gallery with unusual exhibits - the exhibitions are among the best in Germany. Opposite is the State Theatre. Further the Schillerplatz with its structures is worth seeing including the worthy collegiate church. No longer located downtown is Wilhelma, a beautiful zooand the Weissenhof Estate, which was designed in the 20s by leading architects. For car enthusiasts Stuttgart offers of course the unique museums of Porsche and Mercedes. And thus you have by no means seen all that Stuttgart has to offer.
