The Croatian port of Dubrovnik, which is also called the Pearl of the Adriatic, is regarded as an important spa resort. Dubrovnik has a town port, the port of Gruz and the marina Dubrovnik. The old town port is protected by the Porporela breakwater; here yachts up to 3 m can dock; smaller ships are docked in the cove of Gornja Bocina. Gruz is a trading port, located 2.5 km northwest of the old town of Dubrovnik. The Dubrovnik Marina is located in Komolac at bay Rijeka dubrovacka, about 4 km from the entrance to the port of Gruz. With 220 summer days in the year the beaches (rocky beaches) with lying surface made of concrete as well as gravel and sand beaches with gorgeous clear water can be visited.
