Stamsund, Lofoten / Norway
Stamsund is located on the island Vestvågøy, which belongs to the Lofoten. The place has about 1,500 inhabitants which mainly live from fishing and fish processing (stockfish and cod liver oil). The place is still very modern, it was only founded in the 20th century.
Interesting in Stamsund is the Galleri 2 Stamsund with an art exhibition. Moreover, in Stamsund there are quite many artists' studios. The attractions include the picturesque harbor and the church located on the edge of town.
Who wants to get involved in physical activities, has two options: one can, for example, take a walk to the small fishing village Steine and get to know the scenic surroundings or visit the alpine skiing resort and to there wedel the forces from the body.
