Many eyewitnesses of its turbulent history have survived untill today in the town Treis-Karden. One example is the former collegiate church of St. Castor, also called "Moseldom". The adjacent foundation museum documents once again very clearly the history of the place. Then stroll a round through Abbey District with its impressive Romanesque buildings, including the so-called "Korbisch", the former residence of the provost. Architecturally significant is also the Church of St. John the Baptist built in 1823, which is a particularly fine example of Rhenish arch style.
