Miami, Florida / USA East Coast

Miami (about 380,000 inhabitants) consists of about 25 communities, which together form the County of Dade. This area is called Florida's Gold Coast. The 160-kilometer stretch of land on which more than four million people live extends from Homestead in the southern part of the counties, across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach to the northern area of Palm Beach. The most important sea connection is the port, the Port of Miami. Today, it is the world's largest port for cruise ships with over 18 million passengers.
The harbor town of Miami has a subtropical climate with damp warmer summers and warm, dry winters. The average temperatures do not drop below 18 ° C in any month.
The Miami River supplies the water to the Everglades and flows from there into the Atlantic.

The Art Deco neighborhood in neighboring Miami Beach, the Miami Seaquarium on Key Biscayne, the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Cuban neighborhood around Calle Ocho are the largest tourist attractions in Miami. Miami is also the starting point of many trips to the nearby Everglades and the Florida Keys, an island group at the southernmost end of Florida, which also include Key West.
