Rhodos, Dodekanes / Greece
Rhodes is the main island of the Dodecanese Islands, southeast of Greece. The capital by the same name with about 60,000 inhabitants is located in the northeast of the island, is the tourist center and sprays a touch of antiquity. The legendary colossus of Rhodes once decorated the harbor entrance and is one of the seven wonders of the worlds. It was destroyed by an earthquake and now two stag statues (the city's flag) adorn the harbor.
In the famous old town, surely one of the most beautiful of the Mediterranean, the Grand-Palace is decorated with beautiful mosaics. Around the old town the medieval city wall, due to which the old town became a UNESCO world cultural heritage site. Everywhere you will find streets and shops and find your personal favorite place.
There are many other places of interest on the island, starting with the acropolis of Lindos, small mountain villages and the beautiful nature with its rock formations and the unique Greek vegetation.
