Singapore / Singapore

Singapore is an island state and at the same time the smallest state in southeast Asia. The country with the capital by the same name is located south of the Malaysian peninsula wherefrom it is separated by the Johore Street. Singapore consists of a large main island and more than 50 smaller islets. The city of Singapore is located in the south of the main island. Most of the inhabitants of Singapore are of Chinese descent, some also from Malaysia.
To make a small impression: Singapore is an extremely modern and emerging country, has long been under British rule and has one of the most strict law in southeast Asia. The culture has always been exposed to many different influences, which makes the country a tingling mixture of different elements, which is reflected in everyday life, architecture, food and nature.

There are enough attractions in Singapore, both for animal lovers, as well as for historians, active holidaymakers or pleasure seekers.
In addition to a botanical garden and the Jurong Bird Park, there is the Bukit Timah Reserve, a small piece of untouched rainforest. An experience is also the night safaris in Singapore.
The Mohamed Sultan Road, on the other hand, is recommended for evening trips, there are numerous discos and bars. Other attractions include the modern banking district as opposed to the Arabian and Indian districts, the Singapore River district, the art museum, the incredibly huge shopping centers and the Sentosa Island, where there are numerous leisure time offers such as a large aquarium. The lively markets in the Raffles district, on the other hand, are more traditional. There is always fantastic food here. Singapore's landmarks are the Merlion and the Esplanade, a cultural center in the form of a durian.
If, after so much sightseeing, you simply look for relaxation and untouched nature, you are right either on the island of Ubin, which is completely undeveloped, on Mount Faber with magnificent views of Singapore or under water, by sailboat or fins and snorkel. And with the beautiful climate in Singapore, the beaches are also a great place to relax.
