The proud and comfortable three-master was an integral part of the fleet for many years, until its former owners decided a few years ago to organize a different kind of cruise. In autumn 2016, they sold the Sveti Vid to none other than the long-time captain Marin Mladin (called Čičak, meaning "burdock" because of his beard) of the Otac Luka, whose helm he held for eleven years. Čičak and his son Marin renovated the Sveti Vid all by themselves and without outside help in the winter of 2016/2017, including completely redesigning the salon. Of course, his wife Nina also had an important say in the decoration of the salon, which is evident at first glance. While Captain Čičak steers the Sveti Vid through the Adriatic with a steady hand, his son Marin looks after the well-being of the guests and ensures that everything on board is in perfect order.
